As a young girl I spent every summer on my grandparents’ farm in Colombia. That's where I first discovered my love for animals. Since then that love has only grown leading me to pursue a career in the veterinary field. I'm naturally an affectionate and compassionate soul. These qualities allow me to care for all pets as if they were my own. Whether they're boarding or hospitalized or just hanging out for the day I make sure they all feel loved and comfortable. In my spare time I spend time with my daughter, and I love writing songs, singing & playing the guitar.
When your pet needs care, we’re here to help. Riverside Animal Hospital South is staffed by a team of nurturing professionals, committed to the health and wellness of animals in New York. We are dedicated providers of wellness care, preventative medicine, internal medicine, and more.
I have been working at Riverside Animal Hospital since 1990! Here I am pictured with my extremely scruffy rescue mutt named Willy and my cat with a name too embarrassing to mention. We all share the apartment with my better half and my kids, when they are home from college.
I am a long-time, proud Upper Westsider. Working with the Riverside Family not only allows me to help animals, but also to connect to the people who love them. When not working, I have a regular yoga practice, love reading, spending time with family and friends, going to movies, seeing lots of live music and traveling.
I have been working the veterinary industry for about 16 years and I absolutely love animals and their humans! Addie, my adopted Imperial ShihTzu and I moved from Miami to New York 11 years ago. In my spare time I am privileged to be able to indulge my second passion, freelancing as a makeup artist.
I have been a veterinary technician for over 27 years, and two years ago, I returned for my my second round working with Riverside! I am the mother of 2 children, Jessamen and Lauryn, 2 cats Kohl and Hazel, an English Bulldog Bella, and a Rat Terrier named Jackie. I have worked in Emergency and Specialty veterinary practices in Georgia, Florida, California and New York, learning the latest techniques in veterinary medicine. I love doing what I do, and can never imagine myself not working in the pet care field. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, cooking and taking care of my 4 legged babies.
I am part of the family that has been working at Riverside South for over 10 years. I love helping animals as well as their human caregivers. I pride myself in utilizing my kind, calm, and sensitive manner that I hope is apparent in the care and comfort I provide to our patients and clients. I have taken courses in veterinary technology and have a PsyD in clinical psychology.
Everyone calls me “Ceci” and here I am pictured with my best bud ‘Rowdy” ! I have been lending my knowledge and experience as a technician/assistant to Riverside for going on 2 years, but have been employed in the veterinary field since leaving my alma mater in 2011. I have enjoyed working with not just small companion animals, but exotic and large animals as well. My ultimate goal is to receive my DVM, and return to Riverside as a doctor!
I have been a technician at Riverside for many years. I love taking care of your pets when they’re at the hospital and making sure everyone is A-OK! My cool and calm demeanor transcends in all I do. I take great pride in caring for your pets. When I am not at Riverside you can find me spending time with family.
I was born and bred in Brooklyn. Frequent visits to neighboring Prospect Park Zoo inspired my love for animals. I am owned by two cats at home, Ashton and Trista and have had many animals before. I have nearly completed my studies and am excited to become a licensed Veterinary Technician!
